FreeWill : Freedom of Expression of Will

In life of regular person, free Will is lacking.
It never comes into operation.
Will is derived by desires/ impulses of past impressions.
A good person’s Will is derived by good desires.
A bad person’s Will is derived by bad desires.
But what is Will?
All functions of mind are really powers of nature/ prakriti, its unmanifested cause.
Powers of prakriti are manifested in all beings in variable degree.
Evolution of species is caused by nature.
Evolution of individual, needs individual efforts.
Individual efforts don't CREATE changes, but remove obstacles for manifestation of prakriti.
Prakriti does all the work.
Purusa can only remove obstacles in the working of Prakriti.
This individual effort comes from Will of individual.
This Will/ volitional impulse is reflection of true Self on Buddhi.
Pure Consciousness is seer & its reflection on Buddhi is doer through expression of this Will.
Consciousness & Will are higher & lower aspects of Self.
Consciousness is static & Will is dynamic aspect of Purusa
So mind can only be governed by authority higher to it.
This authority is Will of Purusa as reflection of Consciousness on buddhi.
Freer the Will, greater is control on mind.
Remember – Only the Free have free Will!
Rest have their Will bound to desires & past impressions/ sanskaras.
Freedom of Will means freedom from BOTH good & bad desires.
We can understand how much bound our Will is, only when we try to meditate.
Test of freedom of will is ability to focus the mind on the Self.
When mind can be focused on Self then only one has exercised his free Will!
Rest have same degree of freedom of Will like the freedom a cow has, tied to a pole!
