This means that the spiritual practice (Sadhana) the Guru has undertaken, along with its fructification (attainment of spiritual realization), the God should have told them to preach the knowledge of God or Vidya (spiritual wisdom) they have acquired, but only to those who are deserving.

Brahma Vidya has been made a joke through these idiots, who preach that recitation of stuti, strotram or patham are for a luxurious life etc. Then what is the difference between the road side astrologer & a Guru. Understand this.
Their One Look is enough to awaken you within, and they should converse with you to understand what exactly you are seeking.
3. The Real Guru Should Not Be A Chaprasi Doing Pooja For Clients
They are the one’s whose one Vakya, one Step is worth the value for it’s counts.
Those who conduct Pooja for Clients are Panditas. Remember This.
4. The Real Guru should have no Competition with any Sadhaka or Guru or Sishya
A Competition generally occurs if one is a Pandita, who will fight with the other Maha Pandita. But a Real Guru doesn’t preach from any Books, rather own experience & knowledge.
5. The Real Guru Understands the Value of a Single Beejakshara & should give only that what is needed for you.
The real guru never gives a too many mantras or more than one even. If needed, in your path, based on your state of being, they might give what is needed only.
